As Stella Ziegler, 2007 Mayfair chair, said, “If it weren’t for Mayfair…our Catholic schools wouldn’t be here.”
On Saturday, May 10, your Billings Catholic Schools celebrated its 50th Mayfair – your longest and largest annual fundraiser. After 5 decades, it’s clear the momentum is as strong as ever since that original 1976 event.
“Mayfair is more important that most people know,” states Jim Harris, 2022 Mayfair Chair.
You supported your Billings Catholic Schools and students with $1,085,000.
Particularly impactful was this year’s Mayfair special project – the Teacher’s Excellence and Innovation program.
Recognizing the importance of this investment, the Billings Catholic Schools Foundation dedicated an estate gift from Jackline Cox towards this year’s project. Your Billings Catholic Schools Foundation announced $200,000 towards this crucial project that drives student growth and achievement by investing in teachers.
As President of the Schools, Mr. Andrew McDonald, gratefully says, “This past year, we focused on the academic excellence of our schools. We know excellent students are a result of excellent teachers. This special project is the key towards more excellent students, by investing in teachers – through their educational pursuits, their professional training, and ensuring funding that will grow their students towards greater achievement!”
Through your gifts, you invested $483,000 in the Teacher’s Excellence and Innovation Program.
As your Billings Catholic Schools rollout this new grant program in the next year, we’ll bring you stories of impact on how your gifts grow student achievement and teacher success!
As Dan Merry, 2009 Mayfair chair, concluded. “It’s necessary, it’s needed by the students to make that experience better.”
